Featured Candidate - Randall Parker
Randall (“Randy”) Parker was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He attended school in Dallas until the 10th grade when he transferred to and graduated from Duncanville High School in 1989. Randy was the first born child to his mother, Patricia, an admin assistant and father, Roger, a welder. Early in life it was instilled in Randy that despite his humble beginnings, that he could and should make something of himself.
Upon graduating from high school Randy enlisted in the United States Air Force for a term of four years. In that time he learned first-hand the many and varied sacrifices that our service-members make for our country.
After finishing his four-year term in the Air Force, Randy then enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin. It was there that his interest in politics began in earnest. Three years later he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government which included many courses in constitutional law, public administration and United States legal history.
From there it was on to law school at Texas Tech University. After graduating Randy worked at the firms of Wright and Associates in Grand Prairie, Texas and Withrow, Fiscus and Mongogna in Carrollton, TX. For the last 8 years Randy has been in private practice as a solo practitioner. Randy has represented individuals and companies in a wide variety of legal issues including criminal and civil litigation. The vast majority of his cases have been in the criminal context, although the civil cases continue to challenge him and inform his thought process as to how he can be a better overall attorney. This varied experience that Randy will bring to the bench of the 283rd District Court will make him an asset to the court and to the citizens of Dallas County.
Randy currently resides in Farmers Branch, Texas with his wife, Sandy, and their children, Abbygail and Dylan.
