Featured Candidate - Louis White

Louis White grew up in ‘Riverside’, an inner city neighborhood in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. White is a first generation college graduate who worked his way through McMurry University where he earned a B.A. in Political Science. After his undergraduate studies he went on to obtain his J.D at Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

After graduating from law school, Mr. White went to work for Legal Aid where he specialized in Divorces, CPS, and Child custody issues. Mr. White went on to become a prosecutor in Ector, Fort Bend, and Waller County.  He served as a juvenile and misdemeanor chief and tried to a jury a range of misdemeanor, juvenile and felony cases.

Mr. White has participated in a number of civic activities such as “Wills for Hero’s, Texas Youth and Government, and speaking to local at risk youth to encourage them to stay in school. Mr. White has served as a District Director for Texas Young Lawyer’s Association (TYLA) as well as President for both the Ector and Fort Bend County Young Lawyer’s Association.  He is also a member of the Dallas and Tarrant County Criminal Defense Bar Association and is on the steering committee for Safer Dallas Better Dallas. He attends Concord Baptist Church.

Mr. White resides in east Dallas with his wife, Chakilla and daughter Chandler.
