Featured Candidate - Roger Haynes
Roger Haynes grew up in the East Texas town of Marshall. Roger learned discipline and developed a good work ethic living on a farm and working at the family owned business, “Haynes Feed House,” a Purina feed dealership. After graduating from Marshall High School, he attended the University of North Texas where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing before entering Texas Wesleyan University School of Law.
At Texas Wesleyan Roger excelled in mock trial and moot court. He completed an internship at the Dallas County District Attorney’s office and found that he had a passion for criminal law which would become his niche in the legal field.
Pursuing a career in criminal law, Roger was hired as a Dallas County Assistant District Attorney in 1996 and served under the late Judge John Vance and Bill Hill before leaving to go into private practice in 2000. As an Assistant DA he served the citizens of Dallas County in both the Child Abuse and Family Violence sections. Roger is currently a sole practitioner and has focused almost exclusively on defending citizens accused of crimes in both State and Federal court. Roger is admitted to practice in all Texas State Courts and the Northern District of Texas Federal Court as well as the United States Supreme Court.
Roger lives in Richardson and has been happily married to Andrea Haynes for 12 years. Together they are raising three young boys. Roger and Andrea are members of Watermark Community Church in Dallas where they serve in both the Marriage and Children’s ministries.
After over 13 years practicing criminal law from both the prosecution and defense perspective, Roger will lead the 265th with time proven values including hard work, integrity, responsibility and accountability. A lifelong conservative Republican, Roger is proudly running for Judge of the 265th Judicial District Court and asks for your support.
